Professor Urs Giger - A thank you note
Dear Attendees of the H.C.A.V.S. Clinical Hematology Weekend Seminar in Athens,
I just wanted to thank all attendees for spending a weekend with us learning about clinical hematology. It is a difficult topic as blood involves many different tests and organ systems and is evaluated in nearly all patients. While we were hoping to provide important tools for the best diagnostic and therapeutic management of your patients, we learned, based upon your active participation to our clicker and with your questions, you have already a considerable expertise. You did very well!
Dr. Albalas and his team organized this symposium really well even with an unexpected huge crowd of 240 attendees in the heart of Athens traveling from Crete, Rhodos and Northern Greece.
It was my first visit to Greece ever and I was so amazed by the unbelievable beauty of the country - its islands, the bustling life in Athens till late at night, and the charm and friendliness of Greek people. I had the best time and hope to return - maybe a symposium on hereditary diseases in companion animals.
Thank you all very much
Urs
