8th VETERINARY FORUM ON COMPANION ANIMAL MEDICINE

Dear colleagues,

With the focus always on the needs of the modern Greek veterinarians, the H.C.A.V.S. steadfastly continues its scientific course onward and upward with the 8th Forum on Companion Animal Veterinary Medicine in Athens, at the HELEXPO Exhibition & Congress Centre in Maroussi, on 10-12 March 2017.

The 8th Forum’s main objective is to stage a high-quality scientific event with presentations and discussions based on the current knowledge of infections and infectious diseases in dogs and cats. Microbial resistance to antibiotics, the modern vaccination programmes as well as the plethora of diagnostic and therapeutic processes of today, are among the topics that will be addressed at this year’s Forum.

Moreover, within the framework of exchanging scientific information, sharing knowledge and strengthening ties and collaborations, we strongly believe that this year’s pre-congress clinical workshops and their focus on continuous education will contribute to the genuine «cutting edge» of veterinary science and practice, providing an important tool in this direction.

The members of both the Organizing and Scientific Committees work closely together and do their utmost to combine an innovative and balanced scientific programme delivered by distinguished speakers and the active participation of veterinary commercial companies presenting their latest developments in veterinary drugs, vaccines, equipment, instruments, pet foods and books.

The increasing demands of our time, both in terms of upgrading primary scientific healthcare as well as veterinary specialization, create challenges that must be confronted directly if one wants to remain competitive.

We look forward to the active and productive attendance of all colleagues, to reinforce and assist in the challenging work of today’s companion animal veterinarian.

Special rates have been negotiated for the 8th Forum attendees : Superior Single Room 90€, Superior Double Room110€ and Junior Suite 135€. Room prices are per night and include breakfast as well as all legal taxes.
